KEY BENEFITS & CHARACTERISTICS

Increases Water Intake
High amounts of protein and sodium stimulate water intake, increase urine volume and micturition frequency.

Low Struvite RSS (<1)*
The formulation induces urine under-saturated for struvites, with struvite RSS** < 1, to promote dissolution of existing struvite stones/ crystals and prevent recurrence (efficacy proven by Virbac)(1)

Optimizes Urinary pH*
Urinary pH between 6.0 – 6.5 allows to prevent both struvite and oxalate crystals formation.

High EPA+DHA (omega-3)
Addition of fish oil allows to achieve high amount of omega-3, especially EPA+DHA, and helps limit low urinary tract inflammation.

Low Calcium & Phosphorus*
Low contents of Calcium and Phosphorus limit their urinary excretion and the risk of struvite and oxalate formation.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS & CHARACTERISTICS

Addition of Oxalate Inhibitor
Added Potassium citrate, as specific inhibitor, helps limit the formation of Calcium oxalate crystals.

Oxalate RSS <10*
The formulation induces urine metastable for Calcium oxalates, with Oxalate RSS < 10 (efficacy proven by Virbac)(1)

High Palatability
Richness in animal protein and fat guarantees high palatability and ensures maximum compliance in the long term.

Suitable for Adult and Senior dogs
The amounts of all essential nutrients fit the daily requirement of adult and senior dogs

Dissolution of struvite stones/ Reduction of struvite & oxalate formation

Stimulates water intake:
The high dietary protein (34%) and sodium (0.9%) contents stimulate water intake and increase urine volume.

Low struvite RSS < 1:
The diet formula induces urine under-saturated for struvites.

Oxalate RSS < 10:
The diet formula induces urine metastable for oxalates to limit their formation.

Low calcium, phosphorus and magnesium concentrations:
The low amounts of dietary Calcium (0.8%), Phosphorus (0.6%) and Magnesium (0.08%) reduce their urinary excretion.

Optimises urine acidification (pH: 6.0 – 6.5):
The richness in animal protein (87% of total protein) and sulphur-containing amino acids (methionine + cystine: 1.3%) induces a urinary pH which increases the solubility of struvite uroliths without increasing the risk of oxalate formation.

Addition of calcium oxalate inhibitor:
Added potassium citrate (0.3%) promotes the formation in the urine of potassium oxalate and calcium citrate, which are both always soluble.

Helps limit lower urinary tract inflammation:
The high amount of omega-3 (1%), especially EPA+DHA (0.4%), helps limit inflammatory processes.

  • Lean mass preservation: The high protein content (34%) helps maintain the lean mass.
  • Fat mass limitation: The low carbohydrate content (27.5%) and added L-carnitine (330 mg/kg) as fat burner, help limit the deposit of fatty tissue.

Immune support:
The high protein content (34%), with especially the richness in glutamine (4%), arginine (2%) and sulphur amino acids (methionine + cystine: 1.3%), and added vitamin E (570 mg/kg) help to maintain a healthy immune system.

High Digestive tolerance:
The addition of Sepiolite, Lactobacillus, lignocellulose, FOS, and psyllium helps maintain a healthy digestive tract (mucosa, microbiota, transit).

Skin & Coat Support:
The high protein content (34%), especially of animal origin (87%), the richness in sulphur containing amino acids (methionine + cystine: 1.3%), and the balanced omega-6 (2.2%) and omega-3 (1%) fatty acids help maintain a healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Healthy renal function:
The high content of protein (34%), of high quality (apparent protein digestibility coefficient: 86%), contributes to increase water turn over.

Low glycemic index:
The HP-LC formulation (protein 44%, carbohydrate 27.5%) and the low amount of starch (22%) and sugars (1.6%) help limit the impact of the meal on post prandial blood glucose concentration.

Withdrawal of major allergens:
The diet is made without beef, gluten, maize, wheat, soya, egg, dairy products.
